"As often as you did it for one of the least of my brothers and sisters, you did it for me." Matthew 25:40

When I think about the hungry children of the world, I am reminded of the question Jesus' disciples asked Him: "How are we to buy bread so these people can eat?"

That's the very question that led to the founding of Feed The Hungry Foundation.

For 25 years our nonprofit organization has worked tirelessly to feed the poorest of the poor in the world. Not only do we provide food for the destitute, we build small, sturdy houses for them. We provide them with medicine and medical equipment, educational materials, and much more.

Since its founding, Feed The Hungry Foundation has given more than $700 million in aid. More than 90 cents of every dollar donated to our charity goes to programs serving the poor.

I invite you to do as Jesus would do--to help those who need help the most--and share in the joy of bringing aid, comfort, and hope to others.

You can save children of (name of country) who eat only one meal a day, or bring hope to thousands of missionaries who struggle to feed, educate, and minister to our desperately poor brothers and sisters of developing countries.

It only costs ten cents to provide a pint of milk for a poor child. Your gift of $10 will buy milk for 100 children! $20 will supply milk for 200 children! And imagine what a gift of $50 or $100 will mean to hundreds of children and their mothers.

Please, do what Jesus would do and eliminate the suffering of a poor mother who desperately wants to feed her children. Help us today to provide milk for her children... for the littlest of Jesus' own.

I am a servant of the poor.

P.S. We all have the power to eliminate the suffering of someone in great need. We can be like Christ and give aid, comfort, and hope to others.

On Saturday, (date), scouts from our local district will be collecting food to donate to local homeless shelters. Public support for this annual event has grown over its 10-year history, and its importance is counted on by our local homeless shelters.

Please note that from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. this Saturday, scouts will stop by to collect non-perishable foods. We need your help to ensure that the Food Drive is a success. We are asking local businesses to support the Drive by making cash contributions, in addition to any food they might donate. Money that we raise will be used to expand our small facilities and purchase medical supplies.

I will call next week to schedule a meeting to talk further about ways your business might be interested in supporting the Food Drive. Thank you very much for you time and consideration. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 555-5555.
